About

Kayoko Matsumoto - Founder/Master Stylist
Highly regarded in Japan for her ability to create long-lasting, low-maintenance haircuts, Kayoko gained popularity among clients of all ages. She has built a reputation through word-of-mouth for her technique of cutting along the natural flow of the hair and creating styles that are easy to maintain. In addition to her exceptional craftsmanship, she developed the “Kayoko Method,” a theory-based, systematic approach for evaluating bone structure and hair texture.
In 2009, Kayoko relocated to the United States, driven by a desire to further improve her craft. Working in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, she established herself as a sought-after stylist. Her ability to create long-lasting cuts, effective styling, and hair designs that bring out our best features, combined with her excellent sense of style, has attracted a loyal clientele within New England and beyond.
As demand for her services grew, Kayoko decided to open her own salon. She found the perfect space in Brookline Hills and immediately felt inspired. en.Salon opened its doors in 2017 and expanded in 2023, keeping enhancing client satisfaction at more than ever before.

A Message from Nao
Since hair is something we live with for a lifetime, I pay close attention to the elements that make up our hair, including the scalp and hair texture, to provide attentive service. If you’re thinking about changing your look, please don’t hesitate to consult with me. I’ll suggest hairstyles through coloring and cuts that will help you discover a new version of yourself. Coloring processes that embrace gray hair are also quite popular.
