Kayoko Matsumoto - Founder/Master Stylist

A native of Japan, Kayoko Matsumoto began her career as a hairstylist at the age of seventeen in Yokohama, Japan. She received her training at the Hayami Institute of Arts and completed her apprenticeship in various salons in Tokyo and Yokohama over ten years.

In 2009, Kayoko relocated to Boston, Massachusetts after being recruited by a salon on Newbury Street. In this new international environment, Kayoko was introduced to crafting hair of different textures and nature of people from different backgrounds. She has continued to work towards perfecting her talent in applying her aesthetic vision with her Japanese hair crafting techniques to a diverse clientele.

Kayoko is valued by her clients for her personalized service that is dedicated to promoting one’s individuality. She places careful attention on understanding her client’s hair to craft the best, yet natural, look.

Kiyomi worked as a self-employed hair stylist in Kotoni, Hokkaido for 7 years until she moved to the US in 2019 for her partner’s job.

Caitlyn Roney -Junior Stylist
